A brass is 2.0 long at a certain temperature. What is it's length for a temperature rise of 100K if the linear expansivity of brass is 19 x 10^-6 K^-1 ?

Ans: linear expansivity=bigger length - smaller length divided by smaller lenght X change in temperature

i.e. Bl=SL(1+ LEXTemp.)

=2(1+ 0.0000019 X 100)

=2(1 + 0.00019)

=2(1.00019)

=4.00076

Ans: =4m (Approximately)
